“I fractured my neck as a child, and since my early 20s have used chiropractic care to eliminate pain and avoid surgery. Dr.Roscoe's treatment and his holistic approach to my whole person is the most effective I've found in 50 years of care. He truly is a healer.”

- Dr. Don Van Ostenberg

"In every way, Dr. Roscoe and his assistant Marcia, exceed my expectations. Their quality of care, compassion, and generosity have taken me from a weak and feeble state to one of strength and confidence.”

marcia szymczyk, office manager

With a bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing from Baker College, Marcia also attends continuing education for insurance billing as well as nutritional, emotional technique, and chiropractic training programs for our clinic. She came to work at the center in May of 1998 and has been an irreplaceable asset ever since. Marcia loves working with the public, being part of a caring community that wants to stay healthy on all levels, and she loves caring for the needs of patients and being part of the progress they make. Her great concern for people and their health is a great match for the values of our health center. Her’s will be the first voice that greets you when you call to schedule an appointment.

Marcia is a crafter at heart. She’s a certified One Stroke instructor, teaching a painting class twice a month at the local senior center since 2007, as well as finding and finishing old pieces of furniture, frames, and just about anything else that strikes her fancy. She’s also an animal rescue advocate, having accumulated many new furry “family members” over the past thirty years. Marcia has been a pivotal influence on Dr. Roscoe in his series of writings, and has experienced a deep sense of personal growth through that work.

jessica spicher, manual therapist

At the age of five, Jessica knew she wanted to do massage and frequently found herself massaging family members. She went on to graduate from Muskegon Community College and Blue Heron Academy, and became certified by the American Medical Massage Association Board and the State of Michigan in 2009 for therapeutic massage. Jessica regularly attends continuing education classes to maintain her license in massage and engages in multiple health related subjects such as nutrition, holistic skin care, and aromatherapy as an adjunct to her training. She has worked as a massage therapist at our clinic for nearly ten years, using manual and pressure point therapy as well as myofascial work to complement her more traditional muscle release techniques, all while coordinating care with Dr. Roscoe to enhance the overall health of our patients.

Jessica loves to express herself. She has always liked to play dress up since she was a young girl, and often experiments with many hair and makeup options. She makes elaborate costumes for Halloween and comic-con, and enjoys attending plays and concerts with her husband, John. She’s willing to try anything vegan, and loves to cook and experiment with food. Like Marcia, Jessica has two rescue cats, Isis and Amara, whom she lovingly homecooks for.
